Instructional Coach
Jessica K. Maynard
Ms. Maynard serves as the Instructional Coach at South Knox Elementary, where she supports teachers in advancing their professional learning, instructional practices, and ultimately, student success. In addition to her coaching role, she coordinates the school’s RTI (Response to Intervention) and tutoring programs and serves as the Building Testing Coordinator.
With 17 years of experience in education, Ms. Maynard has taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades in both Tennessee and her home state of West Virginia.
She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (K–6) from Marshall University in 2009 and her Master’s Degree in Learning and Technology from Western Governors University in 2013. In 2023, she completed the Literacy Specialist program at the University of Tennessee, earning a Reading Specialist (K–12) endorsement. She is currently pursuing an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Literacy Education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
